PLAYDATE: Children of Eden

The Civic is making it easier for parents to enjoy live theatre by offering on-site childcare during select matinee performances in Season 75! Purchase a ticket for the first Saturday matinee (2 p.m.) and register for free childcare during the performance through our new Play Date program:  Children of Eden: May 2Play Date is held in Studio A and begins half an hour before showtime, running from 1:30 p.m. until the end of the performance, or 4:45 p.m. at the latest. Children ages 5-12 will engage in a fun, on-site theatre workshop focused on collaborative play, featuring exercises in acting, music, creative movement, and art, while parents enjoy the performance! A team of trained teaching artists from The Academy at Ocala Civic Theatre will provide age-appropriate activities inspired by the play, allowing kids to explore their creativity and introduce them to the world of theatre.Space is limited to 20 children.
